What is sacred activism?

Action itself is sacred.

From the Poor People’s Campaign to Standing Rock, from Extinction Rebellion to Buddhist Peace Fellowship to movements all over the world, we find powerful activism arising from a spiritually-rooted foundation and an understanding that personal and collective liberation are inseparable.

Create a more beautiful world.

As we explore how to break down oppressive structures in our bodies, minds, hearts, communities, and the world, a question arises: what is truly life-giving and how can we live in service to that? Of course, this isn’t linear. Following what is the most life-giving, will inevitably lead to the breaking down of anything that isn’t truth.

Sacred activism is a calling.

What we need now — more than ever before — are people who are awake to the crises we face on this planet and are following their unique callings to answer the cries of a hurting world. We need people who are done with false hope, who are willing and ready to bring their whole selves to a path of radical transformation.

We need movements that are regenerative, inclusive, and visionary. As we make bold moves to tap into our wild creativity and deep compassion, we can change the way change itself happens.
